Celery Seeds have a strong flavour and pungent grassy aroma that needs to be used sparingly so as not to overpower a dish. It has a warm, celery-like flavour with a hint of bitterness. The khaki-coloured seeds are usually used whole but can also be ground into spice blends or mixed with salt to form celery salt!
